What is unique to Path to Health Center is that mental health is integrated into the medical service, not an adjunctive specialism. PATH Method helps locate the often-hidden roots of physical symptoms in our body’s intelligence. Dr. Goldberg says, “the body actually shows the truth that’s living inside.”
What we hold to
How can we help you help yourself?
Care that activates your own capacity to heal.
Everyone is welcome.
A practice that meets people as they are, whatever brought them here.
A whole view of the human being.
The relationship of body, soul, and spirit to the world, treated as one, not separate parts.
Growth and creativity are part of healing.
Health is something that unfolds; the creative and the personal belong in medicine.
I, You, We.
Healing as a participatory relationship, we partner with you.
Whole person, whole world
We think of this as whole-person, whole-world medicine. A person is never treated in isolation, as health lives in the whole web we all belong to: our relationships and work, the food we eat, the soil it grows in, the light and warmth around us. To treat the whole person is, in the end, to tend our whole world. It is why the garden, the building, and the community at Path to Health are not extras, they are part of the medicine.
Integrative, not alternative
We practice integrative medicine as an extension of Western conventional medicine, not an alternative to it. If surgery is needed, Dr. Goldberg refers, and the same with pharmaceuticals, but he takes care of metabolism and uses labs to investigate and track. It is always both/and at Path to Health Center: the precision of Swiss medicine, and the whole-person approach that conventional care alone can’t reach.
Participatory by design
We choose to practice participatory medicine, relational, collaborative, and co-creative. We investigate and explore with the patient. Our promise is simple: you will be seen, heard, and supported here, and we will work to activate your own capacity to heal.
The Garden
A permaculture garden is woven throughout the Path to Health Center. Chamomile is harvested on-site for the Integrative Pharmacy, GMO-free chickens supply eggs to patients, and seasonal produce reaches the kitchen. It is a quiet expression of the same philosophy: soil, food, light, and warmth as the ground of health, nature in the room, and nature just outside the window.
